Legends of Las Moras is a six-week cultural experience that brings the Smithsonian’s Spark! Places of Innovation exhibit together with the stories, traditions, and history of Fort Clark and Southwest Texas through tours, performances, presentations, and community events.

Through immersive weekly themes — Arts, Nature, Culture, Military Heritage, Celebration, Film, and Technology — the Smithsonian's SPARK! Places of Innovation exhibit, along with Legends at Las Moras, demonstrates that innovation is not a single moment, but an ongoing process shaped by land, culture, and collective effort. In a rural county where resources are limited but heritage is abundant, Spark! at Fort Clark becomes both mirror and momentum — illuminating how frontier resilience continues to shape the future of Southwest Texas.
